Allied in Pride's most recent initiative in on-campus activism, in collaboration with a coalition of other GWU student organizations is a project to bring a resource center to campus specifically targeting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning students. Such a center would provide LGBTQ students with a single point of contact when dealing with the myriad issues that may arise for LGBTQ students at GWU, including arrangement of scholarships, dealing with housing issues, working with students in their LGBTQ-related academic endeavors, provide support to LGBTQ students traveling abroad, and a host of other areas of concern.

This effort is just beginning, and we welcome the support of any members of the GWU community that may wish to contribute. We are currently in the process of gathering student, faculty, and staff signatures in support of the center, and this is one of the easiest ways you can help.
