  • Several options are available for students, faculty, and staff who wish to report a crime. Options include filing a confidential police report.

    TIPS Line

  • GW's Crime Tips Hotline gives people who have information about crimes or security concerns in the GWU/Foggy Bottom area a way to report incidents with a promise of strict confidentiality. The Chief of Police listens to calls and callers have the option of leaving their name and contact information.

    Sexual Assault Crisis Consultation (SACC) Team

  • 24/7 Sexual Assault Hotline: 202-994-SACC (7222)
  • The goal of the SACC Team is to help increase a survivor’s effectiveness in coping with the aftermath of a sexual assault by providing a format to explore various options and concerns. SACC Team members are trained faculty/staff. They can provide a survivor with information about their medical, reporting and legal options.

    4-RIDE and Colonial Express Shuttle Service

  • Use the GWPD Escort Service and Colonial Express Shuttle Service get you home safely at night. 4-RIDE operates from 7pm-5:30am; call 994-RIDE to request transportation. The Colonial Express Shuttle Service operates from 7pm–3am and runs two continuous loops around the northern and southern areas of campus.

  • Located at 2033 G St. (Woodhull House). Inquires can be made weekdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Eye glasses and keys are available 24/7. Lost property is held for thirty days; you can call or email GWPD to see if your property has been recovered.

    RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) Program
    For female community members. Learn basic self defense skills and increase your knowledge of how to respond to a potential sexual assault. Classes are offered in 2 day blocked sessions. A full RAD class is Session I and II, a 12-hour total course. Course instruction is free, a RAD instruction booklet costs $12.00 -This one time fee is for your own personal instructional book which entitles you to attend all other RAD classes for FREE at GW or nation-wide. Classes are held in Strong Hall Piano Lounge from 9:30am-3:30pm.
